UAP Coalition Netherlands has submitted its official feedback submitted to the Call for Evidence for the Strategic Outlook Report 2025 from the European Commission. In this contribution, the coalition advocates the structural integration of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) in the EU policy process.
UAP are increasingly recognized internationally as a strategic uncertainty with implications for:
- Safety & Aviation: Risks to the airspace.
- Energy infrastructure: Protection of nuclear and military installations.
- Scientific research: Closing knowledge gaps.
While countries like the US, France, and China have already launched specific research initiatives, a coordinated approach is lacking within the European Union. The lack of reporting systems and risk assessment represents a crucial gap in the EU's current resilience strategy.
