On Thursday, March 20, 2025, UAP Coalition Netherlands will celebrate “European UAP Day” on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the historic EU UAP Event in the European Parliament. UAPCNL calls on the European Union to take decisive action on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP). With the increasing number of reports of unexplained aerial activity over critical infrastructure and military sites, the need for a coordinated European response has never been more urgent. Recent hearings in the US Congress and mounting security concerns underline that Europe can no longer afford to ignore UAP and its implications for aviation safety, defence and scientific research.
On the occasion of this European UAP Day, experts and researchers will highlight the urgent need for a European mechanism for the collection and analysis of UAP data, the integration of UAP into EU aeronautics and space policies, and funding for scientific and technological innovation. While the United States, Canada, Russia and China have already made significant progress in the structured approach to UAP, the EU is lagging behind. A proactive stance will not only strengthen security, but also contribute to Europe's strategic autonomy in aeronautics and space.
UAP Coalition Netherlands calls on EU institutions to recognise UAP as a legitimate issue that requires a coordinated and transparent approach. By stimulating international cooperation and making use of Europe's technological expertise, the EU can play a leading role in this emerging field of research. The time for action is now and Europe must ensure that its airspace remains safe, its research is leading and its strategic autonomy is safeguarded.
