Are UFOs real?

Welcome to our information page regarding the question: are UFOs real? What was once primarily a subject of speculation is now also receiving attention within aviation, defense, and scientific research.

Although there are numerous reports of UFO sightings, it is important to remember that a UFO (nowadays UAP ) is simply an unidentified object or phenomenon. A lack of immediate recognition can occur for a variety of reasons, including human error, natural phenomena, or known advanced technology.

However, 3% to 5% of the notifications remains inexplicable, even after thorough investigation by scientists. It is precisely this small but important part that shows the phenomenon is real. Below, we dive into the facts and patterns. We conclude with a clip from former President Barack Obama, who confirms that there are objects in the sky whose nature we simply do not know.

An important caveat is that the impression is often created in society that there is a connection between UAP and extraterrestrial life, whereas this has not (yet) been publicly proven.

Hard facts and patterns behind UFO sightings

When we approach the question “Are UFOs real?” purely scientifically and defensively, we look at patterns in the data. Worldwide research shows that persistent sightings often rest on a number of fixed pillars:

1. Radar data and sensor recordings

Many modern UAP observations do not stand alone, but are supported by hard data from active or passive sensor systems. Examples include military radar recordings, thermal cameras, and advanced satellite imagery that detect objects with unusual movement patterns.

2. Statements by trained observers

The most reliable reports do not come from speculators, but from highly educated professionals. Commercial pilots, radar operators, military personnel, and police officers report incidents where their visual observation directly corresponds with the instruments on board. On our YouTube channel, we have collected an overview of these testimonials.

3. Official recognition and released government documents

The phenomenon has long ceased to be denied by governments. Countries such as the United States (via the AARO department within the Pentagon and NASA), France (GEIPAN) and China are actively investigating. The Dutch Safety Board accepts UAP reports from Dutch aviation professionals. Since 2025, the University of Würzburg and the German Federal Aviation Office have been collaborating on research to UAP in German airspace. Since May 8, 2026 the U.S. Department of War publishes even gradually released historical UAP files by order of the government.

4. Historical precedents

Unexplained aerial phenomena are not a modern phenomenon. Historical archives demonstrate that similar observations have been documented for centuries, long before humanity possessed the technology to fly at all. This points to a consistent and long-standing phenomenon.
