This guideline of the <strong>Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Authority (ANVS)<\/strong> forms the foundation for nuclear safety in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our contribution serves as a public signal to raise awareness of unexplained aerial phenomena (UAP) near nuclear facilities. In our response, we emphasize three strategic points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>External threats:<\/strong> The need to include UAP in broad risk assessments, comparable to international standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scenario analysis:<\/strong> Applying a scenario-based approach when hard data is (still) lacking, in accordance with IAEA guidelines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reporting and coordination procedures:<\/strong> Clarity on how unexpected observations are reported and shared between chain partners such as the NCTV, Defense, and the ANVS.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this signal, we want to contribute to a future-proof and robust nuclear safety framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcc4 The full response is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internetconsultatie.nl\/vobk_anvs\/reactie\/c84a6842-e44c-4ce3-8359-ae442f4e757f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> to read.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UAP Coalitie Nederland heeft formeel gereageerd op de internetconsultatie over de herziene richtlijn voor het Veilig ontwerp en bedrijfsvoering van kerninstallaties (VOBK).
