This bill focuses on the safety, resilience, and sustainability of European space activities. UAPCNL submitted its application at the end of 2023. <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/13971-EU-ruimtewet-nieuwe-regels-voor-veilige-veerkrachtige-en-duurzame-ruimtevaartactiviteiten\/F3444826_nl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">their feedback<\/a> in this proposal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the meeting with NSO, UAPCNL proposed explicitly including UAP in legislation. This is essential to eliminate the stigma surrounding reporting by astronauts and space crew. UAPCNL also advocates for the integration of UAP data into existing monitoring systems, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eusst.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SST<\/a> (<strong>Space Surveillance and Tracking<\/strong>): aimed at monitoring and preventing collisions with space debris.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/defence-industry-space.ec.europa.eu\/eu-space\/ssa-europes-eyes-space\/near-earth-objects_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NEO<\/a> (<strong>Near Earth Objects<\/strong>): observing objects such as asteroids approaching Earth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, UAPCNL proposed the appointment of a dedicated UAP Research Director within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.euspa.europa.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Union Agency for the Space Programme<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On August 7, 2024, UAPCNL held a fundamental discussion with the Netherlands Space Office (NSO) regarding the proposed EU Space Act.
