International cooperation is essential for a better understanding of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP)<\/strong>. UAP Coalition Netherlands works together with international organizations to share knowledge, promote research and develop policy. By working together worldwide, we can better analyze UAP incidents and contribute to safer airspace and transparent reporting.<\/p>

Cooperation at international level<\/h4>

UAP is a global phenomenon that is receiving attention from policy makers, scientists and aviation professionals. UAP Coalition Netherlands encourages international cooperation and invites organizations to work together on research and policy making. International UAP Policy and Developments<\/h4>

United States<\/strong>
The United States is an international leader in UAP research. In 2022, the Senate established the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO<\/a>)<\/strong> within the Pentagon, which is responsible for collecting and analyzing UAP reports. Since its inception, AARO has received more than 1,600 reports, hundreds of which remain unexplained.<\/p>

In addition, it publishes Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI<\/a>)<\/strong> annual UAP reports since 2021. These show that some observations cannot be explained and that UAP pose a potential risk to flight safety and national security.<\/p>

On July 26, 2023<\/strong> a public hearing was held in the US Congress, where several witnesses testified under oath about their experiences with UAP. Later that year, on December 14, 2023<\/strong>, the US Senate passed a bill aimed at transparency and UAP research<\/strong>This law restricts secret funding for UAP-related projects and requires the creation of a government repository of information about UAP.<\/p>

New aviation legislation, proposed on January 11, 2024<\/strong>, wants to formalize reporting procedures for civil pilots. Under the Safe Airspace for Americans Act<\/strong> Pilots are encouraged to report UAP sightings to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)<\/strong>.<\/p>

On January 25, 2024<\/strong> published the American Department of Defense Office of Inspector General<\/strong> An report<\/a> on the lack of an overarching UAP policy within the US Department of Defense. This report emphasizes the need for a coordinated approach at the international level.<\/p>

Americans for Safe Aerospace (ASA<\/a>)<\/strong> is an organization committed to airspace safety and supporting pilots in reporting UAP observations.<\/p>

International UAP research in Europe<\/h4>

France<\/strong>
In France it leads GEIPAN<\/strong> (Groupe d'\u00c9tudes et d'Informations sur les Ph\u00e9nom\u00e8nes A\u00e9rospatiaux Non identifi\u00e9s) the national UAP survey. As part of the French Space Agency CNES<\/strong>, collects and analyses GEIPAN<\/a> UAP reports from both citizens and professionals. This initiative emphasises the importance of a structured, scientific approach to UAP in Europe.<\/p>

International perspective on the future<\/h4>

Developments in the United States and Europe show that UAP is increasingly being taken seriously at the international level. UAP Coalition Netherlands continues to work towards cooperation with international organisations to promote knowledge exchange and policy-making.<\/p>
